Grant Park, is one of Atlanta’s oldest and most important historic districts listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places. It includes Grant Park (the actual park), 48 acres of Oakland Cemetery, the Atlanta Zoo, Atlanta Cyclorama and Grant Park Pool (the only City of Atlanta outdoor pool with 50 meter swimming lanes).
Together with Inman Park, Grant Park contains the largest remaining area of Victorian architecture in Atlanta. Most buildings were built between the neighborhood’s founding in 1882 and the first decades of the 20th century. Across from Oakland Cemetery are restaurants, most notably Six Feet Under & Ria’s Bluebird, bars (Augustine’s) and a great coffee shop, Octane.

“I have completed the “full-cycle” home-ownership process with Mr. Benjamin McKenzie. I initially purchased my home in 2010 with Ben and met him when I inquired about a house that was listed. He quickly gained my trust in his thorough explanation(s) of the home buying process and became my Realtor; I never felt exploited as a novice buyer and he encouraged me to follow-up and research information that we discussed to affirm my understanding of each step of the process.
When I settled on the home that I purchased, I was particularly grateful that Ben pulled me out of my comfort-target neighborhoods and introduced me to new, emerging neighborhoods that I didn’t know of. His foresight resulted in the purchase of a pristine foreclosure in Grant Park that only needed a hot water heater, and when I was ready to sell in December 2014, Ben was able to get it favorably sold in exactly 16 days (from pre-listing to closing).
In all transactions, Ben was organized, thorough and personable. He offered me objective viewpoints on each house we toured when buying, and competitive homes on the market when selling, thereby helping me to make knowledgeable decisions. His eruditeness in realty surpassed the legalities of buying and selling properties and extended into several issues that maybe encountered post-ownership. I was consistently impressed by his willingness to research questions he couldn’t answer right away. He was always expedient in returning calls, searching for properties, and setting up tours. With highest regard, I absolutely recommend Benjamin McKenzie to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
P.S.: Ben is scholarly in the realm of realty; however, there are factors in the process that are solely the responsibility of the client. To truly have an enjoyable buying or selling process with any Realtor, what you bring to the table must be in order! An undesirable credit history, or poorly presented home, will impact your experience and outcome. Put your best foot forward when beginning in the process. Good Luck!”
