Historic Virginia-Highland, or VaHi, or the “Highlands” is one of Atlanta’s most popular neighborhoods for shopping, dining and nightlife. The neighborhoods name derives from the intersection of Virginia and N Highland Avenues. Located just east of Midtown, residents can also enjoy the amenities of Piedmont Park including miles of walking and biking paths, two dog parks, a pool and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
The Beltline’s Eastside Trail, which creates the western border of Virginia-Highland, connects the neighborhood to Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward, which only adds to its walkability.
Once the sun goes down, you’ll find locals and tourists alike dining street-side at one of the many restaurants and cafes followed by drinks, karaoke or live music at any one of the late night establishments. Burgers? Moe’s & Joe’s, Diesel or Yeah! Burger has you covered. Great brunch? Head over to Murphy’s.
With all that the neighborhood has to offer, houses in Virginia Highland come at a pretty penny and many of the large homes have been broken up to accommodate renters. While you won’t find any high-rise complexes here, small condo buildings and townhomes are sprinkled throughout.
AtlantaBen would live on…
“Ben and his team are excellent. We worked with Ben to successfully, and simultaneously, sell our condo and buy a new house. Ben was always responsive and available for questions throughout the entire buying and selling process. His knowledge of the intown market, organization, and honesty made us always feel comfortable and confident in having him represent us. We highly recommend Ben and his team!”
